Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018

Red Arrows to stun Festival of Speed weekend crowds

Goodwood has confirmed the dates for the 2018 Festival of Speed and Revival. The action-packed Festival of Speed will take place from July 12-15, with the extravaganza of historic racing and period clothing that is the Revival happening from September 7-9.

Every year, Goodwood attempts to avoid a clash with the Formula One calendar so that the great and the good of motorsport’s premier category can attend. In 2017, the career of former F1 “ringmaster” Bernie Ecclestone was celebrated, along with “Peaks of Performance – Motorsport’s Game-Changers”, the racing machines that were so fast, powerful, expensive or complicated that the rules had to be changed to rein them in.

Next year’s Festival of Speed will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the sell-out event, centred on a 1.16-mile hillclimb course in the grounds of Goodwood House. To mark the Silver Jubilee, the Duke of Richmond will choose his top 25 moments from the festival’s history.

As well as the action on the hillclimb, there will be the usual panoply of classic cars, motorcycles, Goodwood action sports and rally machinery, along with current and past star drivers and riders.
