For nearly a decade ASL Active has had the privilege to produce the Goodwood Action Sports (GAS) Arena, which celebrates the world’s top action sports athletes, who defy the laws of gravity in a display of jaw-dropping stunts on two wheels. The show incorporates Freestyle Motocross, Trials, BMX, & Mountain Bike riders on a man-made playground of jumps in front of packed audiences.

For 25 years, the world-renowned Festival of Speed has attracted hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts, who come to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and smells of this ultimate motorsport garden party. Situated beneath the ancient Cedar of Lebanon trees in the grounds of Goodwood House is the impressive GAS Arena, which has become one of the most popular attractions of the event.

ASL Active, year on year has been appointed the task of creating and producing the GAS activation, with the aim to entertain the thousands that attend with the best action sports displays the sport can offer.

With an insane roster of 20+ action sports athletes, the event is produced to fit the world-class stature of Goodwood Festival of Speed. The live production includes live TV Screen playback, as well as 15 fully choreographed shows that form the cornerstone of the GAS activation throughout the four days. With a team of 10 who are tasked with creating everything from the complex course for the riders to the social media hashtags, the show has done nothing but grow.

Those inspired by the GAS Arena have the opportunity to get involved in the action. ASL Active has created an extensive Experience Zone for members of the public to learn skills and try a number of different bikes. The AX Exclusive Electric Kuberg bikes and mini bikes will offer that aged four-years-old and upward a chance to get behind the bars! With four different tracks, experienced instructors and full kit, the Experience Zone will be the perfect set up for those just looking to have a go or improve their two-wheeled skills.

Matt Bates, CEO of ASL Active commented;

“In 2018, ASL Active are looking to return with an improved layout fit for industry legends in BMX, Trials, Freestyle Motocross and Mountain biking, showcasing our credibility and capabilities in producing world-class, large scale sports and content activations.”
