A new, “hi-tech, high-energy” live action sports show debuted at Motorcycle Live in November. Moto Cirque, a brainchild of ASL Active’s CEO Matt Bates, was the first spectacle of its kind to take place in the UK.
The choreographed daily performances included a stellar line up of two-wheeled legends including; street bike stunt rider Lee Bowers, Flatland BMXer Lee Musselwhite, Freestyle Motocross from the Bolddog FMX Team (Dan Whitby, Samson Eaton and Arran Powley) and Moto Trials riders Jack Price, alongside the athletes were the ‘Tron’ dance group. Each show included an intense mix of lights, lasers, dancing and two-wheeled tricks from the athletes with each show lasting around half an hour.
Check out below, ASL commentator Matt Crowhurst as he explains the concept and what to expect:
Matt Bates, chief executive of ASL Activations and Events, said:
“We like to push the limits on what’s possible with a live performance and Moto Cirque will be the first of its kind. It’s a new show in a completely different layout that showcases everything possible on two wheels, but what makes this show stand out is that it’s all performed in the dark.”

Getting behind the new spectacular was Fix Auto UK who took title sponsorship of the show. Milly Bartholomew, Fix Auto UK’s Marketing Manager commented,
“Moto-Cirque is a unique offering which not only gives us access to the automotive audience, but also a completely new way of interacting and engaging with them across the 9-day event at Motorcycle Live. The event is attended by over 110,000 visitors, and Fix Auto UK is included as one of the key partners within the Moto-Cirque show. I am excited to work with the Moto-Cirque team to market and promote the Fix Auto UK brand at this prestigious event.”
